Pelvic Floor Rehab

Philadelphia’s Pelvic Floor Specialists

Pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction are very common conditions that are often difficult to discuss with your health care provider because of the taboos often associated with that area of the body. At Atlantic Physical Therapy, we aim to change that. According to the Center for Disease Control, incontinence has affected half the population. On average, it takes women 7 years to bring up pelvic floor symptoms to a health care provider. Our mission is to take the stigma away from discussing the pelvis so we can provide the healthcare that patients need and deserve.

Many incontinence issues are attributed to a weak or dysfunctional pelvic floor muscles. As strength and conditioning experts with specialized training in examination and treatment of the pelvic floor, we can help you re-train your pelvic floor. We also can treat a multitude of pain and disorders that affect the pelvic floor. We provide treatment in a private, non-judgmental, and safe environment.

Treatment

A trained Pelvic Floor Therapist will perform a comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment to identify possible contributing deficits in strength, flexibility and lumbopelvic movement. • Internal/External Biofeedback to down-train or up-train pelvic floor muscles
